ISLAY: Male GREEN-WINGED TEAL still at Loch Gruinart RSPB reserve today (James How).

MID-ARGYLL: The 1w SPOTTED REDSHANK is still at Loch Gilp (Jim Dickson). Three LITTLE AUKS were seen heading N past Barmore Is. Loch Fyne (David Jardine).

1st January

ISLAY: Three RING-NECKED DUCK (ad m, f & imm f) at Loch Ballygrant.
MID-ARGYLL: The CACKLING GOOSE is still in the Moine Mhor area.
KINTYRE: The ROSS’S GOOSE is still at Drumlemble.

31st December

ISLAY: Now two drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL at RSPB Loch Gruinart reserve floods (Peter Roberts).
MID-ARGYLL: The CACKLING GOOSE is still about – now nr Barsloisnoch / Moine Mhor (Frank Cavanagh).
KINTYRE: The ROSS’S GOOSE is still near Drumlemble.

28th December

MID-ARGYLL: The 1w SPOTTED REDSHANK again at Loch Gilp on favoured east side (Jim Dickson).

27th December

KINTYRE: The ROSS’S GOOSE is still present in the Drumlemble area today (Jo Goudie).

23rd December

KINTYRE: Adult ROSS’S GOOSE seen today between Strath & Drumlemble – presumably the same reported prob Snow Goose there the other day. (Angus Murray). Also presumed to be the returning bird from last winter that arrived in December.
ISLAY: Drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL at Loch Gruinart today – presumed same bird as there earlier in the winter (James How).

22 December

MID-ARGYLL: A juv GLAUCOUS GULL was at the head of Loch Gilp today (Jim Dickson). No sign of the BONAPARTE’S GULL.

21 December

MID-ARGYLL: The CACKLING GOOSE remains in the Drimvore / Dunadd area. Also today at Loch Gilp – an adult BONAPARTE’S GULL & the 1w SPOTTED REDSHANK there (Jim Dickson).
