ISLAY: Two Little Egrets still at Carnain today (Lesley Silcock per Ian Brooke). The Lesser Whitethroat is still at Glenegedale (Peter Roberts/Mike Peacock).
MID-ARGYLL: A Kingfisher was on the Lusragan Burn in Connel this morning (Mike Harrison).
KINTYRE: A report of a female/imm Common Redstart foraging in a garden at Saddle Street, Campbeltown on 6 Nov (Derrick Goode per Eddie Maguire).
7th November
ISLAY: The Lesser Whitethroat (probable Siberian race blythi ) is back in Martin Armstrong’s garden at Glenegedale….feeding on peanuts! A Little Egret was at Carnain, Bridgend this morning (Mike Peacock) and 2 birds there in the afternoon (per Ian Brooke). Also a Kingfisher on the River Sorn and later this afternoon a drake Green-winged Teal at RSPB Loch Gruinart (James How per Ian Brooke).


6th November
TIREE: No sign of the Hawfinch at Balephuil today but 2 imm/f Brambling, 1f Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff and 2 Goldcrest there. 1 Sooty Shearwater off Hynish in S7 this afternoon (John Bowler).
5th November
TIREE: A new Hawfinch at Balephuil today –this time a male! Also 2 Chiffchaff and 2 Goldcrest still there. The imm male Ring-necked Duck and imm Scaup still at Loch a’ Phuill, plus 1 Little Grebe, 4 Gadwall, 2 Pintail and 16 Goldfinch there (John Bowler).
ISLAY: A Lesser Whitethroat today in Martin Armstrong’s garden at Glenegedale…perhaps a bird of eastern origin (Martin Armstrong per David Wood).
COWAL: This afternoon Alistair McGregor counted 16 Grey Herons at the Holy Loch, Dunoon. The Kingfisher was also present and a Goldeneye. At least 4 Crossbills were at Benmore gardens.
MULL: The Little Egret is still at Fishnish (Debbie Thorne).



4th November
MULL: A Great White Egret was at Dervaig today (Helen & Andy Mortley, also Cheryl Callow).
TIREE: The imm male Ring-necked Duck at Loch a’ Phuill, also imm Scaup, 4 Gadwall and 30 Goldeneye there. No sign of yesterday’s Hawfinch at Balephuil but 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 1m Blackcap and 60 Redwing there. 2 Pale-b Brents at Salum Bay (John Bowler).
COWAL: 14 Purple Sandpipers and 2 Turnstones at Dunoon Crazy Golf this morning (George Newall).


3rd November
TIREE: A female Hawfinch skulking about in the garden at Balephuil this morning, also 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Brambling and 1 Goldcrest there (John Bowler).
MID-ARGYLL: A Blackcap in my garden at Kilmichael Glen and a Magpie on West Bank Road, Ardrishaig this morning (Blair Urquhart).
COWAL: The Little Egret is still at the Holy Loch today and the Kingfisher made a brief appearance at high tide (Alistair McGregor).
KINTYRE: The Little Egret is still at Kennacraig, seen around 3.30 pm (Per Val Wells).



2nd November
MID-ARGYLL: Good numbers of thrushes still around this morning – 250 Redwings at Cairnbaan with 50+ Fieldfares and 20+ Blackbirds, also 300+ Redwings nr Slockavullin (Jim Dickson). 70+ Fieldfares at Achaleven, Connel this morning and 5 Buzzards soaring in the sunshine (Mike Harrison). 2 distant White tailed Eagles seen from our living room at Arduaine today before watching the Pied billed Grebe at Loch Feorlin in the afternoon (Darren Thomas).
COWAL: A Kingfisher is back at the the Sandbank, Holy Loch hide (Alex Stichler).
TIREE: An immature male Ring-necked Duck at Loch a’ Phuill at lunch-time, also 2 Gadwall, 3 Little Grebe and 12 Goldeneye there. 2 Siskin, 1 Woodcock and 1 Chiffchaff at the Manse. 1m Brambling and 2 Goldcrest at Balephuil (John Bowler). 1 Little Egret at Milton (Christian Verstraete). 1m Blackcap at Barrapol (Steph Cope).
1st November
TIREE: 7 Siskin and 1 Brambling at Balephuil. 1 Lapland Bunting and 1 Fieldfare at The Reef (John Bowler). 1m Blackcap at Barrapol, 1m Chaffinch at Balevullin (Steph Cope). 1 Little Grebe at Milton (Christian Verstraete).
COLL: A male Brambling was at Totronald today (Ben Jones per John Bowler).
